And I don't mean of the kitty persurasion. Catherine and I have been best friends for literally 20 years. We have stood by each other through the best and worst of times. She is beautiful, loyal, intelligent, a wonderful mother, an incredible wife, truly caring, honest, and supportive. I know I could go on, but the words are getting stopped by the emotion. Absolutely the best friend anyone could have. I consider myself very, very lucky to have Cat in my life. Looking back over the years I don't know where I would be without her. Heck...She brought Eric and I together!!!
I love you Cat. You are my friend, sister, and confidant. Thank you. For everything that you are, and for sharing your life with me.

Very excited about the cold weather coming our way! I have a thing for warm comfy clothes. However I am NOT excited about the way the cold affects me. Gives me aches all over. I think I may need to invest in some really good bath soaky stuff.

...is something that the people who know me best have been saying about me for years, and once again has been proven true. Earlier today I was carrying something outside. We have our attic fan on so it sucks the door shut with a slam. In order to prevent that I was trying to hold on until it was closed. Well, it slipped and my finger got in the way. Out of reaction I jerked my hand back at an angle, and you guessed it, it stuck. The skin ripped back on both the top and bottom of the finger between the top knuckle and the nail, and I heard a crack. It is not broken in half or anything. I know what that is like as I did it to my toe years back. But it is definitely more than just a bruise. I know what that feels like too!
So Eric got to play doctor (not like that!), and took care of my finger for me. He said I was the worst patient I ever had. Not from whinning or anything, I just wouldn't hold still, and kept telling him what to do! Go figure. Now it hurts like a sonofabitch, and typing is probably not the best thing for me. So off the computer I get, as even though I really want too playing WoW is not a good idea!
Just wanted to share my injury with those who love me!
Edit: DAMN!! I just did it again. Same finger. Fortunately there is a huge, honking bandage on it, so it just went squish!

Just spoke to Mom. Her and Dad are on their way to Somewhere South Carolina. Dad bought an MGB of ebay and they went to get it. Well, unbeknownst to them South Carolina is about out of gas!!!!!! They had to go to 4 gas stations before they were able to buy 4 gallons of premium at $5/per gallon. Mom said that they have even closed the schools in North Carolina. Something having to do w/ the pipeline from Houston. Dunno..... Going to go online to see if I can find someway to help them out.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know!

Wed nite got this stomach-headache thing that Eric has been fighting for a few days. Thought it would be gone by now. Nope. Still have raging headache. Can't stand to look at the computer much longer.
Just wanted to reach out to my friends. I know many many of you are going through very rough times right now. I would give my right arm to be able to do anything for those of you that are struggling. Unfortunately all I can do is send my Love and to let you know that I am thinking of you. My Mom had this saying that used to drive me nuts as a kid (I think she said it every other day!), but she has a point...."This too shall pass". It always does. Life goes on. In all things there are balance. That means that no matter what darkness we are facing right now, the light is still shinning. All we have to do is keep moving forward for the light to return to our lives.
That is all...Peace

Mediacom cable internet is having issues today. Inet is totally unreliable. Haven't been able to work on stuff all day. Considering that a great portion of what I do for WWC is directly inet related makes things very frustrating. LJ only works about half the time. Grrrrr!

I know. Sounds scary. But really... I think it is a good idea that could even make money! How about a "Stowe Your Stuff" booth for ren faires? For a fee you can securely leave any items (no children or pets of course) for the remainder of the faire day. For an additional fee you could even make arrangements to be met at the front gate, during an pre-arranged time to have your things delivered to you!! Whadda ya think? That way you wouldn't have to haul all your junk around or find some good friend who just happens to have their own booth to stow your stuff for you. (ahem *cough, cough* Berkie)

As Eric posted the other day we got a new family member. His name is Jude. He's 1.5 yr old, blonde and silver yorkie. He is already reached his max weight at 5 pounds. Absolutely adorable! Jude is a little skittish right now.
He was originally purchased by a breeder to be a stud. Unfortunately he had hip problems, and when they did surgery to fix it they realized it was genetic. So the breeder had him neutered and pretty much left him in a kennel for over a year. He was then adopted by Cat's niece Holly. That didn't work out so well as she had very young children that loved to terrorize him. Realizing that she needed to find him a good home, Holly called her Aunt Cat, and fortunately for me I was there when she got the call. I have been wanting a little yorkie for some time now, which, if you have been reading my journal, you know. Even then I debated a bit. But then my heart won out and off I went with Cat and Sarah to check him out. Well, one look was all it took and he had to come home with me. He's getting along fine with most of the animals. Jedi is a little jealous, but the cats really don't care. With the exception of Pi's cat Kibber, and she just hisses at him. LOL!
Jude has taken to Eric like they are old friends. He is a bit slow to warm up to me though. That's kinda dissapointing as he is supposed to be my dog. Oh well, as long as he is happy and well adjusted I can't truly complain. So here is a picture of the little guy.....

You all know Jedi (for the most part anyway) big, intimidating, with a fierce bark, right? Yeah, ok...whatever. Today it is raining like crazy. Jedi is jumping around, acting like he is ready to piddle on the floor, he has to go so bad. I let him outside. He takes 2 steps out the door, sees the rain, turns around, comes back inside and lays down. Pathetic. The big, fierce Jedi hates to get wet. GEEZ!
*Update: Eric just got Jedi to go outside. Finally. So what does he do when he comes back in? Stands right next to me and shakes! (jedi, that is, not Eric)

*BIG WAVE* I know I haven't had much of a presence here on LJ for a while. Just can't seem to get my thoughts straight I guess. But...I wanted everyone to know I am still here and love you all very much. So many of you are going through difficult times right now, my heart goes out to all of you, as does my love.
Although, on a side note, I have recently become addicted to the movie Across The Universe! I just can't seem to get enough of that MUSIC! I have always loved the Beatles, but this stuff....damn.

If you have not already done so I am urging everyone to check out my Hubby's Band, the Sea Dogges. Eric's been working diligently on the website to get it looking nice and spiffy, and is wanting input as to what our friends think. So please, check out www.seadogsmusic.com and tell us what you think.
Thanks!
